CRM Energy combines complete administration of financial instruments from the energy market, primarily Nord Pool, with the strength of the CRM Finance treasury system. 

CRM Energy works in the same way as all other standardized modules in CRM Finance. New users will easily adapt to the workflow, and existing users are easily up and running with energy instruments. 

Input data

  • Market and instrument data are available from the Nord Pool ftp server through a one-button-click.
  • Financial Energy Contracts and Green Market Contracts are supported. (EUA’s and Swedish Electricity Certificates)
  • Standardized instruments for forwards, futures and options. Trading bilateral instruments is possible in any Spot Reference price and currency.
  • Forward/spot prices and risk figures (Nordic SPAN®) downloadable to editable registers.
  • Existing transactions from other sources are imported by a versatile import function.

DEAL INPUT. The deal input forms are designed to meet STP requirements through default setup for fees and portfolio codes with the possibility to create settlement transactions. Validations are made in order to prevent saving transactions with incorrect type, currency or area. Possibility to activate warning events before option exercise.

Output data

MIDDLE OFFICE. 

  • All reports are included in CRM’s highly flexible and easy-to-use Report Manager.
  • All reports are easily designed for parts of, or the whole portfolio.
  • It is possible to display all relevant information in periodic time buckets, where the different periods are defined by the user.
  • The result columns can be summarized for a comprehensive total view.
  • Conforms to standardized Nord Pool reports.
  • Supports IFRS & Hedge Accounting.
  • Included information is among others:
  1. Realized/unrealized profit and loss
  2. Settlement reports
  3. Liquidation reports
  4. Different exposures such as current position (MW), open position (FIFO), hours or volume (MWh)
  5. Scenario Risk measures (margin requirement) according to the SPAN parameter definition

CRM Energy has the same powerful control and administrative functions as CRM Finance Base Module such as:
